Better staffing? Administrators disagree.

On March 10, 2008, about a dozen workers, residents and residents' family members presented a proposal for quality care to the administration of ManorCare's Easton facility.

The facility's representatives did not agree to the group's proposal, which included calls for staffing improvements and more supplies for caregivers to use with residents. Facility administration promised follow-up meetings to address the concerns raised but then insisted on one-on-one meetings with individuals and refused to meet with the group.

Members of the worker, resident, and family member coalition all share the same concerns, and family members have notified the facility that management should be willing to discuss them with the group, rather than insisting on intimidating one-on-one meetings with management.
